Be careful who you talk to on your late night Big Mac run.

A man eating a meal at a McDonald’s in Essex learned that lesson the hard way.

Police said around 11:30 p.m. on June 3, officers were called to Franklin Square Hospital where a man was being treated for serious wounds to his face and body.

The victim told police he was eating at the McDondald’s in the 2100 block of Eastern Avenue when he struck up a conversation with a stranger.

The stranger became irritated and the victim tried to diffuse the situation by leaving. Moments later, as he was walking on Kingston Road, the suspect attacked him and knocked him out.

Police were able to get surveillance video of the suspect who returned to the McDonald’s to clean himself up after the attack.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information should call the Essex Precinct at 410-887-0220.
