Kenwood High School junior charged as adult after pointing gun at student

An 11th grader at Kenwood High School in Essex has been charged with assault as an adult after pointing a gun at another student. 

Shane Kaleipaihala Pule Jr., 16 of the unit block of Dogwood Road in Middle River, faces charges of first-degree assault and related charges. He was released on $100,000 bail.

Baltimore County Police said Pule pointed the .45 caliber gun at the victim, a sophomore, last Friday. Both him and the victim ride the same school bus. 

At 3:46 p.m., the bus dropped both of them off at Elm Drive and Wilson Point Road, and the victim approached Pule to confront him about a previous incident.

Pule then got out a handgun from his backpack, and pointed it at the victim. The victim was not injured.
