Thursday morning police and firefighters got a call for a house fire on Bardswell Road in Catonsville. Police believe Ray intentionally set the house on fire.

They also believe the 16-year-old chased a man with a weapon down the same street shortly after the fire was set. A short time later, a teen matching Ray's description walked into Johnnycake Elementary School. Investigators say he went there with the intention of stealing property from inside the building.

Ray left when school officials approached him. One of them followed Ray for a short distance and directed Baltimore County police officers to him and he was taken into custody near Vanderwood Road.
