TOWSON, Md. — A five-year veteran of the Baltimore County Police Department was identified as the officer who struck and killed a carjacking suspect after a pursuit Sunday.

Baltimore County Police said Officer First Class Corbin was the driver of the police vehicle that struck and killed 20-year-old Dion Lamar Taylor. It is the department's policy to not release the first names of officers.

Police said Taylor was one of three suspects in a carjacking who jumped from their vehicle and attempted to flee. Corbin was one of the officers in pursuit.

Monday, police identified Taylor and a second suspect who was detained at the scene.

Police said the carjacking suspects use a gun to steal a car driven by a pizza delivery man as he was making a delivery in Milford Mill.
