Woman shoots man on MTA; police issue warrant for suspect

Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting on a MTA bus that happened Saturday night.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Russell Street for a shooting around 10:50 p.m.  When they arrive officers found a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso.

Investigations revealed the man was on the MTA number 27 bus when he was in a verbal dispute with a woman. That woman then produced a gun and shot the victim.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

Police say the suspect has been identified and an arrest warrant has been issued for that suspect.
