Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting that has left a woman with serious injuries Monday evening.
Police say officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Lanvale Street around 5:24 p.m. for the reported shooting.
At the scene, they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her body. She was later transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Homicide detectives have assumed control of the investigation because of the severity of the woman's injuries.
