BALTIMORE — A 28-year-old woman charged in a late January murder in the city’s Biddle Street neighborhood was arrested while at the National Aquarium, Baltimore Police said.

Shaniel Johnson, of the 2000 block of Jefferson Street, was charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 54-year-old Tommie Graham Jr. in the 2500 block of E. Chase Street, police said. Johnson was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 1 while she was at the National Aquarium in the Inner Harbor.

Police were notified of a stabbing at 4 a.m. on Jan. 26 in the 2500 block of E. Chase Street. Responding officers found Graham, who resided on the block, suffering from stab wounds. Medics tried to provide aid, and Graham was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives questioned witnesses at police headquarters, gathering enough information to obtain an arrest warrant for Johnson. She was taken to Central Booking following her arrest and denied bail.
