Officers in Baltimore are investigating two deadly shootings on Tuesday as it coincides with National Night Out, a time for police to work on building trust with the community they serve.
The first shooting happened on East Madison Street just after 1 p.m. Police say, a 36-year-old man was shot in the back and later died in the hospital.
The second shooting happened just after 5 p.m. on Abbott Court. Witnesses told police a shootout erupted between the gunmen and the victim. A 34-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds was found at the scene and taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officials say a gun was found on the victim.
