A suspected member of the BGF street gang was convicted Thursday of second-degree murder and attempted murder for his role in a 2014 triple shooting that left a person dead.

Laser Womack, who represented himself, faces 90 years in prison, according to a news release from the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. on March 25, 2014 in the 3800 block of 8th Street in Brooklyn.

Officers found a Johniece Sheppard, 21, who died after being hit with multiple gunshots.  Two other victims were discovered, one of which had 12 gunshot wounds.

Police said Womack and some accomplices came to the house and forced everyone to sit on the couch, holding the victims at gunpoint and demanding drugs they believed were inside the home.

The victims told the men where they thought the drugs were, but they couldn’t be found.

Womack went upstairs to check to see if there were any witnesses, and when he returned, the others had shot everyone.
