A man nicknamed The Aviator due to the style of sunglasses he wears is wanted in connection with a trio of bank robberies throughout the Baltimore area, the FBI said.

The FBI believes he is involved in the following robberies:

  • Sept. 1 — Wells Fargo Bank, 1643 Merritt Blvd, Dundalk
  • Sept. 9—BB&T Bank, 5439 Harford Road, Baltimore
  • Sept. 20—Wells Fargo Bank, 7639 Harford Road, Baltimore

Witnesses describe him as a black man in his 40s, who is about 5’9” tall and has a salt and pepper beard. He wears a baseball cap, long-sleeved shirt/hooded sweatshirt and aviator sunglasses.

While talking on his cellphone, the man approaches the counter, hands the bank employee a note announcing an armed robbery and demands money. Then he runs off.

If anyone has any information about the robber or robberies, call the Baltimore FBI at 410-265-8080. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest in this case.
