BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a series of robberies perpetuated in Southeast Baltimore neighborhoods with large Spanish-speaking communities.

During some of the robberies, suspects were armed. Anyone with information about such incidents should contact Citywide Robbery Unit detectives at 410-366-6341.

In a Public Service Announcement video, offered in both English and Spanish, police provided tips to help residents protect themselves from such potential crimes, including:

  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • If walking at night, walk in groups, in well lit areas.
  • Limit the amount of cash and valuables you carry.
  • Don’t walk with earbuds in or engrossed in your phone or other such devices.
  • Always keep doors locked when driving a car.
  • Do not leave your keys in your car, or the car running with keys inside while the vehicle is unattended.

Police remind residents that if something seems amiss, they should contact police or call 911, adhering to the, “If you see something, say something” mantra. The police department can provide language assistance if needed.
