Police have announced an arrest made in the murder of a Dollar General store worker.
The suspect, Michael Thompson, age 27, is charged in the murder of Deric Ford, Sr., father of 12.

Police say they were able to locate and arrest Thompson with the help of the community and multiple tips.
While in custody, Thompson confessed to a second murder that occurred on April 24, 2017.
Police say an argument ensued in the unit block of South Calvert Street between Thompson and the victim. During the argument, Thompson pulled out a gun and killed 33-year-old Michael Scott.

Police believe Thompson used the same gun to commit both murders.
Thompson is currently in police custody.
