Police arrested a 19-year-old man after he stole a car at gunpoint in southwest Baltimore.

Around 8:10 p.m. officers were called to the Royal Farms store at Monroe Street and Washington Boulevard for a report of an armed carjacking.

When officers arrived the victim gave police a description and officers searched the area. Authorities found the vehicle a short time later in the 1800 block of West Pratt Street.

Police arrested Chattney Johnson, 19 without incident. Officers found a replica air-soft gun that looked like a semi-automatic handgun.

Chattney is charged with armed robbery and is being held at Central Booking awaiting bail.
