The shooting took place on Friday morning, at around 9:45 a.m. when police were called to the 1000 block of Parksley Avenue. When they arrived, officers located a 21 year old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

A medic was called to transport the man to an area hospital for treatment. However, after some investigating, detectives determined that the shooting occurred in the 3200 block of Benson Avenue.

The homicide incident, on the other hand, happened on Saturday morning, at around 1:50 a.m. when officers were called to the 6100 block of Fortview Way for a report of a shooting.

Officers located a 19-year-old Diamante Howard suffering from gunshot wounds. A medic arrived at the location, but the Howard died of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Howard was also in possession of a handgun.
