Baltimore City Police are investigating after a man was shot while riding his bike on York Road early Friday morning.
Police responded to the 5000 block of York Road at Winston Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Officers arrived to find a 23-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man was taken to Shock Trauma where he was immediately taken into surgery. Police believe the victim was riding his bike when he was approached by an unidentified suspect who shot him.
Homicide detectives have been notified due to the victim's condition.
