One man died, another man injured in a shooting on Winthrope Avenue in Baltimore Thursday night.
Baltimore City Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 5900 block of Winthrope Avenue just after 7:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. One man was shot in the knee, and taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A second man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later, according to police.
The homicide victim has been identified as 24-year-old Brian Tabb of the 5900 block of Winthrope Avenue.
An investigation revealed that three men were sitting in a car on Winthrope Avenue when an unknown gunman approached the car and opened fire.
Detectives have not identified a suspect or motive at this time.
