Police identify two supects in stabbing death

UPDATE

Baltimore City Police have identified two suspects in connecting the murder of 29-year-old Robert Ponsi. 

Antwan Eldridge, 17, of 3900 block of Rexmere Rd and Daquan Middleton, 16, of 1200 block of Linwood Ave have been arrested and charged as adults. 

Charges against them are first and second degree murder, armed robbery and first and second degree assault. 

This investigation is open and ongoing, as homicide detectives are looking to identify more suspects.
 

 

A man stabbed during an attempted robbery in Waverly has died, police said.

Just after 9 p.m. Saturday night police responded to Greenmount and 33rd Streets for a report of a cutting. When officers arrived they found a 29-year-old man at Venable Avennue and Old York Road, who had been stabbed several times.  The victim, identified as Robert Ponsi, was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police believe the suspects were trying to rob Ponsi when they stabbed him.

Detectives are questioning potential suspects.
