Police tweeted Saturday evening that Cipisirono Cole, 47, turned himself in for the murder of Darrin Johnson.

Police said Cole will be served on the warrant for murder.

Around 8:30 Wednesday morning officers were called to a DPW building at 2311 N. Fulton Ave for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found Johnson who had been shot several times. He was taken to Shock Trauma where he died a short time later.

An investigation found the victim and the suspect got into an argument that turned physical. The suspect got a gun and shot Cole before fleeing the scene.

Police Spokesman T.J. Smith said the Warrant Task Force worked around the clock following up tips to  apprehend Cole. "Ultimately, he did the right thing and turned himself in," Smith said.
