UPDATE: Police have confirmed the Shirley Ave shooting victim as 25-year-old Devonte Tripps of the 1500 block of Moreland Ave. The Belmont Ave shooting victim has been identified as 39-year-old Kevin Mason of the 500 block of Chateau. 

Baltimore Police were dispatched to seven separate shootings on Thursday. Police say a total of nine people were shot.  At least two of them were killed.

The Thursday shootings started around noon.  Officers responded to Cross Street where a 53-year-old man was found suffering a gunshot wound to the lower back.  He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The second shooting happened at 1:50 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Greenmount and 29th Street where they found a 31-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body. 

After the Greenmount Avenue shooting, in a mere 3- hour span, five more shootings were reported.

5:20 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Shirley Avenue.  They found a man with gunshot wounds to his body. The man was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

6:10 p.m.

Officers were called to the intersection of Lanvale and Bond Street. At the scene, they found three shooting victims. The first victim was a 31-year-old man, the second was a 23-year-old woman, and the third person was a 19-year-old woman.

7:25 p.m.

Officers reported to the scene of a shooting on the 3600 block of Old York Road. At the scene, they found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. 

7:30 p.m.

Police were dispatched to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim that was being treated for a gunshot wound to his upper body. Investigators say the man was shot in the 3100 block of Baker Street. Homicide detectives have been called to investigate the incident due to the seriousness of his injuries.

8:30 p.m.

Officers heard gunshots from the 2900 block of Belmont Avenue. After investigating the scene they found a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body. The man was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
