The next shooting, which ended up being a homicide, happened early Tuesday morning.

At a little before 12:15 a.m., officers received a shot spotter alert in the 2200 block of Wilkens Avenue. Officers arrived to find a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was taken to Shock Trauma where he died a short time later.

Homicide detectives are investigating this murder and, at the moment, have no suspects or motives.
