Officer injured in foot chase near a Baltimore cemetery Wednesday

Posted

A Baltimore police officer suffered a shoulder injury during a foot chase near a cemetery Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1p.m. patrol officers in the 1800 block of N. Port Street interrupted a drug transaction and chased after the drug dealer who ran from the scene.

The suspect ran into a nearby vacant home, jumped from the second floor window, and then tried to take off in a van parked on the same block.

Officers at the scene requested additional units when a crowd in the area became hostile and one man tried to stop officers from entering the van.

Both the drug delear and the man blocking the officer were arrested. Their identities have not been released.
