Prince George's County officers were called to the scene of an off-duty officer involved shooting that happened in District Heights on Friday evening.
Officials say the off-duty Baltimore Police officer confronted a man attempting to break into his truck. The officer discharged his gun at the man before he fled the scene.
Police are actively searching for the suspect and were able to find his car nearby.
