Mount Holly murder victim found by DPW workers

BALTIMORE — A man was killed Wednesday morning in Southwest Baltimore’s Mount Holly neighborhood.

Police responded to the rear of the 2100 block of Mt. Holly Street at about 9:45 a.m. There they found an unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, police said. Responding medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

On April 25, police identified the victim as 25-year-old Davon Mayo.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Police said the victim was discovered by Department of Public Works employees who were cleaning up trash. Detectives currently have no suspects or motives in the crime.
