The fallout over the two big scandals surrounding the Baltimore City Police department is growing.
The Baltimore City State's Attorney's office now says 864 cases have been or could be impacted by the investigations into the three body camera videos that seem to show officers turning their cameras on and then re-enacting finding evidence. That number also includes cases tied to the eight officers facing federal racketeering charges.
City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby released a statement saying, “Public trust in the criminal justice system is crucial to the success of all prosecutions; therefore, as prosecutors, we will remain vigilant in our pursuit of justice and we will continue to do our part to restore public trust and build confidence in the criminal justice system."
