A Baltimore man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a federal charge of obstructing firefighters during rioting in Baltimore in April 2015.

Greg Butler Jr., also known as Greg Baly, 22, admitted that he used a knife and punctured the fire hose outside the burning CVS near Pennsylvania and W. North avenues, according to a release from the Maryland U.S. Attorney's Office.

"Both punctures released a high-pressure stream of water from the hose and rendered the hose inoperable," the release states.

It damaged the hose so badly that it delayed firefighters in putting out the blaze.

He is facing five years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 20, 2016.
