Man turns himself over to police for the shooting death of another, days later

BALTIMORE — On Sunday, a man turned himself over to police after he shot another man in the face and killed him.

According to BPD, at around 7:25 p.m., Bright Ogueri approached an officer at Police Headquarters and told him of an assault that he committed on Friday, in the 4000 block of 6th Street. Ogueri also told the officer that he believed that the victim had died.

Southern District officers arrived to the location and found a 38-year-old male inside of the home. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Ogueri and the victim were involved in a verbal dispute when he shot the victim in the face.

Ogueri was transported to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with 1st degree murder.
