Baltimore police responded to reports of a shooting on the northern edge of Highlandtown Wednesday morning.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Leverton Avenue and Highland Avenue where they found a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigators think the man was shot while in the 3400 block of Leverton Avenue. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587).
