Man sentenced to 50 years in Barbershop Murder

Posted

A man will spend 50 years in prison for killing a barber over a tampered Baltimore Gas and Electric meter.

Andre Mosby was convicted of second-degree murder Tuesday in the death of Kenneth Collins.

Collins was shot to death inside of a barbershop on East Monument Street last March.

Prosecutors say there was an ongoing dispute with a person known as "The BGE Dude" who authorities later identified as Mosby.

Investigators say Mosby illegally restored power to several homes including the barber's.

According to prosecutors, Mosby plotted to kill Collins because the barber owed him money from a manipulated meter.
