Man killed in Edmondson Village, midday Thursday, Baltimore Police said

A man was killed in Baltimore's Edmondson Village midday Thursday, Baltimore Police said.

Officers responded to the 4100 block of Cranston Avenue at about 12:20 p.m. after hearing gunshots while on patrol. Shortly thereafter, police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Also Thursday, a man who had been shot in the 2600 block of Saint Benedict Street Wednesday succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
