Man found guilty of second degree murder in stabbing death

BALTIMORE — A man has been found guilty of second degree murder for the death of Rennie Milligan and carrying a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure.

Police say in January of this year they found the victim laying in the street with a stab wound to the neck. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that shortly after midnight that night, the victim and his girlfriend entered a verbal altercation inside of her apartment located in the 600 block of North Eutaw St.

During The woman shared the apartment with her stepfather. During the argument, Milligan left the apartment and walked outside the building to deescalate the situation. The couple continued to argue.

Scott who was visiting the girlfriend's stepfather and overheard the argument.

Police say he proceeded to tell the girlfriend "I'll take care of it" and left the apartment, punched the victim and stabbed him with a knife before fleeing on foot.

The victim screamed for help as he called police and was able to tell the 911 operator he had been stabbed twice in the neck just before he collapsed in the intersection.

Witnesses interviewed by BPD homicide detectives identified Aaron Scott as the individual that attacked Mr. Milligan.

According to officials, Aaron Scott faces 43 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 28, 2020.
