A man is suffering from a gunshot wound to his foot after he says he was just doing work inside of his car.

Police were called to the 700 block of Washington Boulevard after a reported shooting just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday. When they got to the scene they found a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the foot.

The man says he was inside of his work vehicle, doing paperwork, when he was approached by an unidentified person that fired several shots into the side of his car.

And that was not the only shooting reported overnight. On Monday night around 9:49 p.m. officers patrolling the Southwest District of the city were flagged down while patrolling the Edmondson Village Shopping Center.

A 59-year-old man told police he and the passenger in his car had been shot. Officers found the car in the 800 block of Woodington Ave and say a 46-year-old woman was shot in the head and the man had a gunshot wound to his hand. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Citywide Shooting detectives are asking anyone with information on either of these shootings to contact them at 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
