A loaded handgun was found on a student at a Baltimore City school Wednesday morning.
It was recovered at Carver Vocational Technical High School.
"More education has to be given to our children regarding the need to stay away from firearms, and to understand that firearms in the school is not a good thing," said Sgt. Clyde Boatwright, president of the Baltimore City Schools police union.
The incident follows other discoveries of loaded guns at city schools this year.
No students were hurt.
