Baltimore Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of 13-year-old Diandre Barnes, who died after being shot in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue last week.

Anthony Jerome Clark, Jr., whom Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said went by the nickname of "Trouble," faces first-degree murder charges as well as other charges.

"He needs to be behind bars, and behind bars for a long time," Davis said at a Monday afternoon press conference.

Police discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds at approximately 1:33 a.m. on June 11. Barnes was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma. The second victim, a 21-year-old male, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Davis said it is believed that Clark intended to shoot the 21-year-old victim.

Later that night, at approximately 11:33 p.m., officers were patrolling Fremont Avenue, in response to the shooting when they encountered a suspect with two guns. Police said the suspect shot at officers, who returned fire during a foot chase.

He shot at four officers, Davis said.

Then he ran to the roof of a Fremont Avenue building, where he later surrendered.
