Latest shooting brings city murder total to 343

A man was shot to death in the 4500 block of Garrison Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, bringing the city’s homicide total to 343 for this year, while police ask for the public's help in solving another killing that happened Monday.

Baltimore Police said the shooting happened around 2:42 p.m. Medics were summoned to the scene and transported the victim to Sinai Hospital for treatment.

The victim, who has not been identified, died shortly afterwards.

Meanwhile, Baltimore Police held a press conference Tuesday asking for help in finding two suspects in the murder of Rykeise Shaw, an 18-year-old shot Monday on Greenmount Avenue. 

Investigators, who called the murder "brazen" and "bold," said there were witnesses.
