H&S Bakery is a local staple, and its outlet store across the street is just as popular.
"Whenever we run out we just come back, we get two loaves at a time for a dollar," said Avi Sunshine.
The family-owned business is known for its fresh baked goods at a steal of a price.
"It's a nice store, it's kept clean, the people in here are nice,” Sharon Jenkins said. “And you get bargain deals, and that's important."
But not everyone comes to the shop for a discount. Baltimore Police just released surveillance video of the outlet store being robbed at gunpoint.
"An unknown suspect entered the bakery, he was armed with a gun and wearing a surgical mask," Baltimore City Police Detective Jeremy Silbert said.
It happened nearly three-weeks ago at 4:30 in the afternoon.
The crook worked fast, demanding money from the cashier and getting out the door in about a minute. It's not clear how much money he ran off with, but police haven't been able to track the masked-man down.
"I think it's terrible somebody would go ahead and do something like that in broad daylight," said Jenkins.
"That's sad, that's very upsetting, that's very unfortunate, and I hope everything works out in the end," Sunshine said.
Investigators want you to take a close look at the suspect, we're told he's in his 50's, between 140 and 160 pounds, and was wearing a hat, sunglasses and a medical mask during the hold-up.
"We constantly talk about cases that we were able to close because of the community's help, and we're really hopeful that someone will come forward and give us some information in this case," said Silbert.
Employees at the store had no comment about the crime.
