The sound of gunshots led officers right to the scene of a wounded shooting victim on Hollins Street Thursday afternoon.
According to police, a few moments after they followed the gunshot noise, they found a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his body.
They say the man was later transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.
