Governor Hogan offered condolences to House Majority Whip Talmadge Branch after his grandson was gunned down in northeast Baltimore.
“We are heartbroken to learn of the death of House Majority Whip Talmadge Branch's grandson. Please join with us as we pray for the Branch family and all of the people who loved this young man during this time of grief and mourning," Hogan posted on Facebook.
The 22-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon in the 4200 block of Nicholas Avenue. He died a short time later an area hospital.
Delegate Branch has been a member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing the 45th district since 1995. He currently serves as the House majority whip.
