BALTIMORE (WMAR) — A carjacking victim is reunited with her beloved six-month-old cat.

Baxter the cat was taken Saturday after his owner was carjacked in Mt. Vernon.

According to the victim's daughter, two women found Baxter abandoned in an alley in Bolton Hill later that same day, and returned him Tuesday.

Baltimore Police say the 52-year-old victim was approached by two male suspects in the Maryland Historical Society parking lot just before 5 p.m.

One of the men tried reaching through the driver side window to remove the keys from the ignition. When he was unsuccessful, both men pulled the woman out of her car, got in then drove away.

When the suspects took off, Baxter was still in a carrier in the front seat.
