A Baltimore City police officer that shot and killed an armed robbery suspect will not face charges. The Baltimore City State's Attorney ruled the officer's actions were justified.

The incident happened on October 16, 2017 outside a 7-Eleven store in Northeast Baltimore.

Officer Kevin Amy saw 20-year-old Eric Garrison holding up the store with a shotgun. Amy says Garrison left the store still holding the shotgun, and Amy shot him twice.

Police released body camera footage and video from store surveillance cameras showing the robbery and shooting.

The City State's Attorney's office released a report explaining the decision not to file charges against Amy, saying based on the video and statements from several civilians and officers who arrived afterwards, Garrison posed a threat to both the officer and nearby citizens.
