BPD investigating second Wednesday homicide

BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police are investigating a second homicide Wednesday.

It happened just after 10 p.m., when officers in the Southwest District were called to the 3300 block of Saint Joseph Street.

Upon their arrival, police found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced deceased on scene by a medic.

Police later identified the victim as 20-year-old Dashawn Shelton, of the 1000 block of W. Fayette Street. The crime scene was revised to the 100 block of South Morley Street in the Saint Josephs neighborhood.

Less than three hours earlier, a 31-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 4500 block of Bowleys Lane in Northeast Baltimore. The victim was transported to a hospital where his condition is unknown.

At around 7:15 in the morning a 51-year-old man was stabbed to death in South Baltimore.

Thus far in 2019, there have been 93 homicides in Baltimore.
