Baltimore Police investigate a Sunday morning homicide

Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings that took place over the weekend: one in the Western District and the other, a homicide, in the Southern District. 

The first shooting happened on Saturday, at around 11:35 p.m., when patrol officers showed up to the 600 block of Bentalou Street for a report of a discharging. While searching the area, the officers were notified about a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital.

Once at the location, they located a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the hand and leg.

The second shooting, the homicide, happened on Sunday, at a little after 4:40 a.m., when patrol officers arrived to the 1100 block of Nanticoke Street for a report of a shooting. Once they arrived, the officers found a 23-year-old man with several gunshot wounds to the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
