A Baltimore Police Officer was injured on Tuesday after being dragged by a car in the Park Heights neighborhood.

Just after 2 p.m. police say an officer was making a traffic stop in the 3300 block of West Garrison Avenue for a car that was reported stolen in another county.

During the stop, the driver tried to get away, dragging a different officer who was called in for backup. The officer was dragged for about a block and a half.

He was then taken to Shock Trauma for his non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they have the suspect in custody.
