Baltimore man sentenced for series of robberies

A judge sentenced a Baltimore man to 10 year in federal prison for a series of armed robberies across the city.

Taft Redd, 45, was sentenced for 6  commercial robberies between July 22 and August 18, 2015.

According to court documents Redd robbed the businesses with look a handgun. He stole cash from each store and occasionally stole merchandise. He hit a covenience store in the 5200 block of Harford Road twice in a month. He robbed stores on Greenmount Avenue, Erdman Avenue, and a restaurant on N. Broadway in Baltimore.

When police arrested him on August 19, 2015 he had a black BB gun that was the same weapon seen by witnesses in the robberies.
