As the last night of 2015 begins, the total number of homicides in Baltimore City stands at 343.
That number is compared to a total of 211 homicides in 2014.
Police say more than 630 people have been injured in shootings in 2015, that compared to 370 the previous year.

"It is a group of highly motivated violent repeat offenders. Folks would rather be caught by the police with a gun than by the bad guys without a gun," Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said.
