Baltimore Police have arrested six teens in connection with several "bump and run" incidents that have occurred in Baltimore in recent weeks.

In addition to two 16-year-old males, police arrested:

  • Barry Diggs, 18, of Baltimore, charged with auto theft and other theft related charges
  • Jaquan Bennet, 17, of Baltimore, charged as an adult with several counts of armed robbery, handgun violations, assault and related charges
  • Jasmine Gerald, 19, charged with theft and robbery.
  • Kenyawn Megginson, 19, of Baltimore, charged with robbery, auto theft and related charges.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis convened a task force last week to investigate these crimes. A bump and run is when a driver hits another car, then when the victim gets out of the vehicle to exchange information, the other driver steals his car.

There have been no additional reports of bump and runs since these arrests, police said.
