Baltimore Police are investigating an assault and armed robbery that happened near Johns Hopkins University's campus Wednesday morning.
Two people, who are not JHU students, told police they were sitting on a wall in the 100 block of W. 29th Street when two men approached them. The men offered to sell the victims drugs, but when they declined the suspects hit them with a silver handgun.
The two men demanded money from the victims and then ran away. Both victims sustained injuries during the incident and were taken to a local hospital.
The suspects were described as men in their early 20's, and one of the men had a silver handgun with a brown handle.
Campus Safety and Security want to remind everyone to not try to resist or pursue a suspect in a robbery. Be sure to stay calm, listen, and report the crime as quickly as possible.
