The case at the center of the hit podcast "Serial" heads back to court next week.
On Thursday, June 8, attorneys will present their arguments about whether convicted murderer Adnan Syed should get a new trial.
Syed was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, in 2000. He was sentenced to life in prison.
Last year, a judge overturned his conviction and ordered a new trial because Syed's legal team failed to raise questions about cellphone tower evidence.
The state appealed the ruling.

In December 2016, a judge denied a motion to release Syed from prison while he waits for a new trial. Earlier this year, the Maryland Court of Appeals said it would allow appeals from both sides to move forward.
