A break-in leads to a double shooting and 1 fatality

City police reports that unknown suspects forced their way inside a west Baltimore home and shot two victims, killing one.

At approximately 1:46 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 300 block of Carrolton Avenue where they discovered two adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics pronounced 26-year-old Eboni Thornton dead at the scene.

The other victim, a 34-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives discovered illegal narcotics and paraphernalia used to package the drugs for distribution inside of the home.

According to Homicide investigators, the suspects targeted the occupants of the home.
