71-year-old woman struck by car in hit-and-run accident

Baltimore City Police say a 71-year-old woman was hit by a car while trying to cross the street Saturday; the driver fled the scene. Officers were called to the unit block of W. Lombard St for the woman who attempted to cross the street when she was hit by the driver of a Nissan Sentra. The driver reported stopped briefly before fleeing.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

Police say they are still looking for the driver of the Nissan with a Maryland tag of 3DC2676 and was last seen going westbound on Lombard St.
