6 shot, 1 killed in Friday night shootings

Baltimore Police are investigating a series of shootings that left one person dead and six others injured Friday night.

Police say the first incident happened around 9 p.m. in the intersection of Ducatel Street and Linden Avenue. Officers found a man shot in the stomach after arriving to the scene.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

An hour later, officers on patrol in the unit block of West 20th Street heard gunshots.

Officers found two shooting victims. The first victim was a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The second was a man shot in the stomach. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Freemont Avenue 30 minutes later for a shooting. Police found a man shot in the upper body. The victim died at the hospital from his injuries. Detectives believe he was shot in the 800 block of George Street. 

Police say a second victim was found in the 1500 block of Shields Place suffering from a gunshot wound.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. officers found a man who was shot in the back in the 1100 block of Cleveland Street. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
